Sanday is an island north of mainland Orkney. All commercial routes to it require you to go through Kirkwall in mainland Orkney.
You can fly from Kirkwall Airport. The island saver costs £19 for a return. See Logonair Inter Island Services.
You can get a ferry from Kirkwall with Orkney Ferries. Sanday is part of the North Isles routes. In the past few years, there has been an Island Explorer ticket which allows 10 days of unlimited travel within the Orkney islands during the summer. Call Orkney Ferries on 01856 872044 to find out more about it.
Braeswick B&B is 2.1 miles from the Sanday Ferry terminal at Loth and 5.1 miles from Sanday Airport.
Sanday has a community bus which makes connections to the ferry terminal. It is important to book this.
If you are stuck for transport get in touch and we might be able to help out.
Bicycles can be hired on the island from Pendlebury Pedals. They also offer Repairs and Servicing. Email email@example.com for more information.
